I was at a LFS yesterday and they had an "orange spotted pike". I've never heard of one before and was wondering if anybody knew what it could be. It was a darker color w/ orange spots down both sides. It was about 8-9"

I would say Saxatilis due to availability, but without a pic, there is no sure way to know. A few pikes have, and could commonly be called "Orange spotted" I have heard X-I's called Orange pikes, and my LFS would turn that into "Orange spangled viper pikes"...lol

LOL, that would be a cool one. I don't think it's a sax. It is dark w/ orange spots on each side all the way down near the top by his spine. I'll have to go back and try to get a pic. He's all the way up on top in a tank by himself.

orange spots... if there maybe more reddish it could be a lacustris... picks would definitely help
