My aqualog puts them at 35cm..i gues thats about 20-22". I have an orb ray too and he's about 12-13" now and not sexually mature.

i don't have one now, but thinking about it. also what would the growth rate be for a 6.5" female. also looking at a hystrix male but i know what to expect from them.

35cm is 14". According to the Aqualog, your ray should
be approaching full size.

i thought they were bigger then that, hell if this turns out to be the correct max size of 14" i will get it.

many undescribed species are still termed orb, which is why some you'll see are 14" and some are nearing 30". it's hard to say what the true orb is.

I saw a female orb several years ago that was at least 20". The owner lost her about 2 years ago when the power went out, not sure how big it was at that point. They get big.
