Just ordered 4 1" juvie escondido and 4 1.5" meeki F1 Subin from ken at fishfarm usa. I am debating on going ahead and putting them in the 75gallon or keeping them in the 10gallon for a few weeks til they grow out a bit? Not sure what to do right now. Any thoughts?

They might grow faster in a larger body of water plus 8 Sa/Ca's 10 gal. of water is kinda pushing it maybe 4 @ 1 inch even thats askin' for some serious aggression.

Guess alot of it depends on who else is in the 75gal and how big the residence are.

8 - 2" striata loaches and a few 1 - L255, 1 - L066, 1 - L030 and 1 clown pleco. Some danios in there right now but I'll be taking them out when I get the escondido and meeki in.

i just ordered 4 of the same meeki and 4 Amphilophus xiloaensis from Rapps...the meeki are from the same race. I can't wait to see what they look like. Won't get them till tomorrow.

I'd go ahead and put them in the larger tank personally. Like others have said, bigger body of water = faster growth. And actually I'd leave the danios in for now until the meeki and escondidos grow some more. Having a smaller school of fish around might reduce stress levels. Cichlids are very aware of their surroundings. If you put a bunch of juvenile fish in a large tank and there's nothing swimming out in the open they may fear a predator is around causing undue stress and hiding.

Good idea! I knew that and just wasn't thinking of it. Actually, I was thinking about something else lol! I was thinking about replacing the danios with some rainbows ;)
