ordered a pair of wild Uruguayan Pikes from Fishfarm

This post is more as a warning to watch who you do business with.

I ordered a pair of wild caught Crenicichla Saxatilis from Uruguay. they were listed as a bonded pair with the male at 8 inches and the female at 5 inches.

I b9ught them, paid 60 for overnight shipping with instructions to have them delivered on Friday to my office. AlL of this was agreed to by the Vendor.

Yesterday, the fish never arrived. When I checked USPS, the vendor shipped them for 2nd day. When I reached out to him, he pretended it was a delay perhaps due to weather. So I called the post office to confirm the type of shipping and they confirmed that he shipped 2nd day. So the vendor clearly lied to me. what's worse, instead of trying to help or take ownership, he simply responded, "call the post office and see if you can pick them up tomorrow."

This morning, I call the post office next to my work to have them hold the package. I go there and they don't have it. It turns out he shipped them to my home address. Keep in mind that I specifically instructed to have them shipped to my office. When I called the post office near my home, they said it was out for delivery.

I finally go them around 130PM. The female is dead.

This vendor hasn't returned an email since 4PM yesterday.

What recourse do I have?

By the way, it was Southeast Exotic. Aka Ken or FishFarm.

I'm sure he has had plenty of good happy stories but the way this all went down is not good.

needless to say, I'm very dissapointed.

If it's less than 30 days you may file a dispute if I remember correctly.

Sorry this happened to you. This is becoming a theme with this guy.

He doesn't even respond. One thing if he fessed up and said, "sorry. I must have made a mistake when shipping them out. Hopefully they are safe and if not, I'll credit you the fish etc..." Instead, he tried lying saying it was weather holding it up.

I just filed a dispute with paypal. Now he gets a chance to respond. I'm sure he'll say he did nothing wrong and then I'll have to make a case against him. So annoying.
 
I had also bad luck one time and the fish arrived with only one eye and a fin damage.
I called paypal and they helped me to get the money back in two days.
Maybe they can help you.
 
Check the characin section. There's mention of some bad business like behavior going on. Hopefully he makes this correct.

Damnnnnnnnnnnnn that really sucks he has been pretty sus about the "lacerdae" wolf fish he's been selling look malabaricus to me... It's easily over a $100 difference...

Idk how to feel about this... back in the day he used to have lots of friends here and did a lot of biz here too idk what's going on with him now... If I were u I wouldn't send him any more business cuz that really fricken sucks... Message him on Facebook for fastest response he's a old guy he doesn't reply fast to anything since he has to check his computer I don't think he has a smart phone. I really hope u get your money back man. Good luck and let us know how it goes
