Ordered my fist Bichir - Albino

Comes in on Tuesday. It'll just be a little guy around 3". I've heard they grow slow, but how much legnth should he get by the first year?

if it is a normal albino senegal it can grow up to 1" a month up to 6-7" then it should slow down and slowly grow over the next few years to max out about 12".

if it is a short body albino or semi short it will max out at 7-8".

Where did you get him?? What do they eat??

I got him from Pet Arcade in San Rafael, CA. The price was $24. I picked up some frozen Blood Worms for him to eat. I figure once he's big enough I'll switch him over to live

i got one that size maybe even a bit smaller a couple months ago and now he has grown a ton. probly 6-7" now.

def an albino senegal like beblondie said you should try to feed it pellets most won't eat them right away but its important to train it to to make sure its getting all the nutrience it needs but nice bichir dude
