As title says, I went to my LFS and ordered 2 Dovii and an Umbie. He said he will add them to his order and they will be here on the 13th. Yee Haa. They are going to be juvi, but I really like watching them frow up. I will post pics when they get here.

Sweet Man what size tank you got and what's your filtration set up ?

Hope all go's well !!

I don't actually have the tank built at this moment. I am going to build an indoor pond for them. Not sure if it will be 8'x8'x3' or 10'x10'x3'. I am building a fish room and once it is finished and I see how much room I have or don't have I will decide then what the actually dimensions are going to be. As far as filtration. I have been kicking around ideas. I have a large sand filter and pump from a ~12000 gallon pool that I can use, but am afraid it is giong to cost too much to run. Probably will go with a wet dry setup, maybe use 55g drums or one of those stock tanks that are 150 - 300 gallons, and some pond plants to help out.

The little guys will go into a 40 gallon for no more than a couple of months then should be able to move into there new mansion

sweet, good luck and get some pictures up as you built your "fish mansion"

I wouldn't put them all together. Umbri's will straight murder other fish when they are small. I bought 3 and the biggest killed the other two when it was only 3" and then i added 2 dovii's and the umbee harrased them to no end so i removed them. And this was in a 180....Just keep a close eye on them.

Thanks I will definately keep an eye out. I would like to hope they will get along atleast tolerate one another. I am only planning on building one large tank. So if
there are problems I will need to get rid of something.
