I was just wondering if breeding blue tilapia as feeders in aquariums and closed system is ok. Since its counted as an exotic animal and considered as an invasive species ( it would also include all store bought cichlids as invasives). And of course your not suppose to release such fish in an open body of water. But as a Aquarium enthusiast breeding these fish for his Pet catfish and Bass, is there any problem in doing so, if they are kept in a closed system such as an aquarium?

I forgot to mention i got 480 gallons with 3 stripped bass trophy sized and 1 blue cat. and two 75 gallons waiting for these blue tilapia.... And these a good fast and large fish as juveniles as live feeders compared to having to feed my fishes lotsa fathead minnow's. I hate goldfishes as feeders... and would like to grow my own feeders for health control purposes
