Would an organization container with several drawers be able to hold water if not filled up all the way? I want to breed fish but don't know if I can afford anything else and need somewhere to keep the fry. It'll only be about 2" of water per drawer with a bare bottom. Would it bend or break over time?

I don't think that particular plastic drawer organizer would work. It looks too flimsy and I would be concerned about low quality plastic.
IMO, Rubbermaid tubs coupled with a sponge filtration system would be your best bet. RM is a better quality product.
Farm and ranch stores sell rubber feed tubs and buckets that might work as well.

However those drawer caddy thingies make for great DIY filter projects.

Will not work. I’m not sure if these threads are serious. What are you trying to breed in 2” of water? Are you planning on filtering this? Honestly from your previous thread and this one save the money you would pay for a kiddie pool(50-80$?) and this storage container (10-20$?) use that money and buy yourself a 40g breeder off Craigslist or MFK, a AC110, and ask your parents money for a heater. That way your fish can live longer than 2-3 days

They are just crazy ideas I thought might work but would never attempt unless it was safe for the fish. That's why I asked. I already have a kiddie pool and storage container and thought to myself what could I do with what I already have? They just sounded interesting and I am the kind of person that likes to find new and unique ways to accomplish things because I'm weird.:) Yes, I would get a heater for it and I know how a filter works and could build myself one out of spare parts I have in my garage. I like to mix my hobby of building and creating things and my love for fish.

If you have the skills or YouTube, although I’d recommend this to someone with slightly more fish knowledge but hey gotta start somewhere.... if you have no other way of keeping fish and you really gots too I’d convert that storage container into a 3 step shower type filtration. Floss on top and bio on last 2

Like the idea :) sounds like a fun challenge

I would hold off on a breeding project if i were you. If you dont have spare funds for more tanks and equip. I would hold off. I mean your other thread was a kiddie pool for a pleco that you couldnt house. Dont get yourself in over your head again.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea... I just didn't think I could make the water deep enough for anything but small fish or fry without it collapsing. Just a crazy idea
