If I pick up a male orino, do you guys think it is better for the orinos to breed in the 150 with the other fish, or the 80 by themselves? I could try to move the female to the 80, but it is going to be very wet. If they do breed I need somewhere to put the eggs(10g), then they will go to the 30, then the 80, so I would end up moving the big bass back out. If I keep them in the 150 I can split the tank in half.

150g Stock:
5 severums
1 pleco
1 mono (male)
1 orino (female)
1 Spotted Gar
1 Arowana

from what i have read /seen they will anywhere when ready MFM but the rest of your stock may pay the price ....You need another tank bro !!!!

The smallest i have heard them breeding in (at breeding size) is DM's 125g.. and they were by them selves. I would do the same if i was going to breed orinos.

I think I am going to clear out the 150 as much as possible, and then divide it so the orinos have one side. I have to leave the aro, mono, and gar in the 150.

Once they set the nest. I am pretty sure the pair will turn into homocidal maniacs all go on a mass killing spree killing all the other tank mates or hurting them, really baddly. When this happens your other fish or the pair will need to be removed for their saftey.

Ya, I plan on removing as many fish as possible. The only ones that are hard to find a place for is the mono, aro, and the gar.

Sell the other fish once you get a male orino. Or get another tank as stated....lots of cheap tanks in your area.
