My house.
So I have two tocantins kelberi and two orino. The kelberi were very simple to pellet train took me less than a week. However, the orino have gone 2 months and still refuse to even hit and spit pellets. They just completely ignore them. It's gotten so bad that the kelberi which were smaller by an inch and a half when I got them have outgrown my biggest orino. Does anyone have any insight? I will say that the tocantins are F1 and the orinos are wild so that's my best guess.

Adding pictures because why not.

i concure with ur assumption "I will say that the tocantins are F1 and the orinos are wild so that's my best guess." if ur willing to risk it starve the orinos, i have starved peacocks for almost 2 months but i gave up at that point.

Have you tried @ganster 's blood worms to pellets method. Lots of people have had good experience using it. It partially worked for me and now my Kelberi who was almost impossible to break is smashing pellets. I think its just important to get get them to eat from the surface first, so the blood worms help with that.

My monos are wild and also had a hard time converting, what I did was take one pellet at a time and throw it hard at the water and they would hit instantly then spit out. Did that for about 4 days and they can't get enough now. I feel like if I never would have thrown the pellets hard at the water i would still be trying. Might work for you as well.

I actually tried that, but my kelberi love pellets so much they grab everything before the orino investigate the pellets.
