Hi.

Looking to get this venezuela orino 6-8inch. How are they different from the rio meta? Will the red stay on the pectoral and lower part of the tail?

I myself have six rio meta orino's now. Only at 3 1/2 inches. But I've also had rio meta's in the past, and what I can tell you is that they look nothing that like. Yes, they have the snakeskin pattern. But the tail is usually yellow, then turns blue. Nice fish. As far as the red, I cannot answer that one for you. I would imagine your going to get different color patterns in the tail as they mature.

Thanks for the info! I have 2 rio meta and going to pick one of these up. Going to see how they develop. They seem to have gold spangles or dots throughout the body!

yeah the rio meta's will get it too, but eventually go away close to 10" and turn lime green. My favorites. I'd say grab em both. Whats the asking price?
