Got these guys in November at 1.5". Took a month to get them pellet trained. Now they're 6" and for awhile now they just seem uninterested in food. They only take pellets if I get their attention and throw them in one at a time. Same goes for tilapia. They'll eat a few piece and then won't be hungry for awhile sometimes even days. Just saw of them find a pellet floating around and started mouthing it before spitting it out. They haven't seem to have learned to go after food without me throwing one by one I guess but they also just don't seem interested in eating. My monos on the other hand eat like pigs.

Maybe get some dithers in there to get them active? Silver dollars, tinfoil barbs, things like that...

What shook said and you can also feed them every other day in till they start smashing food again.

For the last month I been feeding Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Monday's they would eat kinda a lot. But then not be interested. Since they have been getting skinny and my uncle wanted me to take all his guppies from his 40 gallon. The orinos ate a lot so hopefully this triggers their hunger.

What are you feeding them?

Been feeding them hikari food sticks, massivores, and guppies. I just added them to the bigger pair of monos and arowana. With the aggressive eaters the orinos are starting to eat more now. Hopefully this keeps up.

They really are some weird eaters. I got them to start taking Hikari cichlid gold now but they'll only take a few pellets. But when I throw some Hikari food sticks they'll eat more than they use to. Just early they finally ate massivores til they had big stomachs. Hoping they keep it up cuz they need to catch up to the other fish.
