Orino vs cichlids?

Does anyone else think orinos are tough enough to live with cichlids? Im doing that right now and hes been pretty tough. He eats pellets and lip locks with my cichlids.I didnt know cichla could or would even lip lock. But maybe because hes only about 3" and hes living with weaker cichlids like convicts and firemouths.

Eventually the firemouths and convicts will be lunch.

haha true but do you think an orino stand a chance against a flowerhorn? im just curious but i won't try it because thats just a waste of a good fish if the pbass does die

They ARE Cichlids too, and yes, he will do great with them, UNTIL they become mouth-sized. You just don't want to put him with anything that will continually harass him, like a larger cichlid.

i mean my barramundi gets harassed and nipped by the little convicts but my orino protects him. But i had to separate the grow out tank because the barrmundi was stressing out. Are convicts normally nippy?

240, I also have two 12in+ barramundi but everyone is in unity, crossing my fingers everything goes well
