Hey all I noticed my smallest cichla is starting to color up nicely and looks waaaayyyyy different from my other two that I got. He is starting to color up like my old Orinos in the past, and the "Gold Rings" around his spots are starting to show.
I was wondering if you guys think, its an Orino. (Please let it be!)
He is only around 4" by the way. I am going to let him grow in the 55 gallon by himself and move the other two into my 29, as the two bigger ones are picking on him bad and don't want it to affect my possible Orino.

BTW first three picture is him and last three are my Orinos in the past.

Thanks all!

yes that is an orino and nice one at that

Really! OMG! Orino are my favorite Cichlas! I am for sure going to separate now!
Thanks! Anyone else?

Make sure you guys ID ONLY the first 3 pictures! As my last 3 are for reference! :D

Looks Orino to me.. seperate and see how you go..

sorry to bust your bubble the first three are mono for shure

Please explain why you think it's a Mono, Impala65. Only time will tell now, but I just took out my two Monos or Occels and this little fella's color brighten up a lot!

his cheek markins arent pronounced enough and would have way more gold starting . i have some two spot monos that look very much like this bass also

for me they look like ocellaris with the head shape not being as "round" as orinos but not as "pointed" as some of the monos ive seen..then again i am a newb
