arent orinos and orinocensis two different pbass ????

Not that I ever heard.... Orino as far as I have ever seen is short for the fish in question :)

I just used Orino short for orinocensis. And i thought they was just named that after the lake their from.

It's harder for me to find orinos than temensis around my area.

I did pick up some temensis and orinos though around 2.5".

Temensis ~ $13-15
Orinos ~ $20-25

so far here in so cal i've only seen ocellaris and temensis. the orinocensis i haven't seen in person yet, but the exotic fish guy down the street is suppose to bring his orinos and intermedia to the shop so i can see them and buy two of the orinos, i'll buy an intermedia when i hit the lottery.. lol.

i paid $ 10 each for my ocellaris at about 3 inches, and $20 each for my tems at 3 - 4 inches. and i'm going to pay $40 each for the orinos but they are much larger, they are supposed to be 6 - 8 inches already.

John looking in that thread notice they're all the main species but have the locality posted after them showing the differences in local.

Orino's are Orinocensis, but if you look at something like VZ orino vs. other orino's are sold you'll notice they're different looking fish when young because of different local's.

Orino's used to be super rare but not so much now. I think both are great fish. But if the tem's are farm bred and not wild I would get the orino. Hell either way I'd get the orino. Most consider it the most beautiful pbass.

that pic says he intermedia is found in the orinoco drainage. that doesn't make it an orino. orinocensis is the fish on the left which is orino for short. orino is an orinocensis
