Anyone have their ornate trained to eat pellets? How picky are they when it comes to food?

All of my polys will take sinking earthworm sticks, sinking staple sticks, dense culture sinking crumbles, and commercial sinking catfish pellets. There was no training involved. I just started dropping them in and 7 different species went for them.

i got my ornate onto sinking carni pellets..,hes 8 inches liong and gets 14 a night in addition to his shrimp and bloodworms

my ornates accept any pellet i drop in, be it carnivorous or algae wafers. no practice involved, the first time i dropped them for my plecos the ornates went straight at them.

it only took a few days to get mine on pelets, he was on an almost pure bloodowrm diet as a baby and i wanted to liven things up a bit..........but scicne i have started feeding him hikari pellets he has shown a increased groth rate...

I have mine on hikari pellets sinking or floating. Their not too picky so far my ornate has taken everything. Took them right away so good luck with urs.

The bigger of my two bichirs eats shrimp pellets. He's the only fish in the tank who gets them, he grabs them so fast. I dropped two in yesterday for my plecos, but the bichir got BOTH before anyone else had a nibble. My littler bichir will eat them, but is too slow to beat the other one :)
