I just got my ornate today and put him in with my 2 sens. The ornate seems to be swimming off balance a little. He looks like he doesn't have much control of himself as my other 2 bichirs do. Im sure it sounds weird but when he swim along the bottom he can stay up but looks almost like he wants to lay down on his side. Ive never had any other bichirs other then my 2 sens and they swim fine so doesn't it sound bad that he is swimming like this?
