I currently have 3 4" ocell peacocks in a 120g growout and was about to order a silver arowana. The site im ordering the aro from has 5" ornates for a good price, just not sure if peacocks would become aggressive toward the bichir when they all get big.

I have 5 12" pbass and 3 12-15" bichirs... they get along all right, only the flagtail suck the slime coat off the bichirs.
i sat here for like 20 secs trying to figure out what you were talking about. getting food* down to it is what you probably meant to say. you're right though, this seems like it might be a problem.
my bichers have all learned to come up to the top of the tank to eat the floating pellets that my cichla eat.
my bichers all live with my cichla orinocensis they don't bother each other at all, even my tiny senegal bicher is left alone (actually kinda surprised the cichla haven't eaten him).

Just keep your cichla well fed, and make sure the bicher is too big to fit into their mouth...i lost a 8" ornate to a 12" mono..heres a vid i shot a couple yrs ago. Was workn a shutdown and didn't feed my monos for 2 days, came home from work and found this...

damn that really sucks man. i'm not getting one now because i know bichir's can grow kinda slow.
