Okay, guys. I asked earlier if I could keep a 5 inch ornate with my 5 inch BGK and 5 inch endli. People told me yes, but I did a search and some people talked about their ornates killing their BGK. Who in here have kept ornate bichirs with BGK long term successfuly? It also made me wonder, who has kept endli bichirs with BGK successfully long term? Should I be choosing between my knife and the endli/ornate bichir? I also have a shoal of clown loaches in the tank 4-6 inches each. Would they be safer with the ornate or the endli bichir longer term? If the ornate is the safer bichir, I will get rid of the endli and get an ornate.

i asked the same question about keeping an ornate with BGK and got the consensus that they are fairly nippy and so most likely would find the BGK's fins irrestistable

Thanks! Anymore responses? Feel free to address the thing with the clown loaches too. Which bichir would be safe with the loaches for life?

iv seen lots of videos with people having loaches wit bichirs (iv seen it with ornates dont know about endli) i would just make sure that you get the bichir as small as possible (you said loaches were 4-6in so i would try to get same size bichir) but since you already have the endli, how is its temperament? is it pretty laid back? i think in your case success will depend mainly on the individual temperament of the fish more than what type it is (though dont endli get bigger than ornates?)

I have my sen in with yoyo loaches and they cohabitate just fine, but then again ornates/edilis are different then sens, and yoyos are different than clowns.......

I was thinkin about putting a BGK in with my sen (8" pretty mellow). Will that work out?

Senegal and BGK should work out if the knife is close in size or a little larger. My thing is right now the Endli is getting along with the loaches, however, endlis have a huge potential to eat large fish when the get close to adult size being a lower jaw species is all. I was thinking the loaches and BGK may be safer with an ornate long term.
