I've got a Lima shovelnose cat, ( juvi 6"ish) and I have been eyeballing ornate bichers at my lfs I was wondering if I could keep the two together.
the two would be housed in a 55 to start then in a 125 once they get big
Limas full grown are about 16.5"

I had a lima and an ornate,............ they never paid any attention to eachother. you should be fine

Aggression heavily depends on the individual, however most times aggression is limited to fish small enough to eat, and conspecifics.

its should work, but just watch your limas whiskers the first week or two, my ornate often took bites ( not chasing the catfish but if its whisker touched him he would bite them). they never were aggressive toward each other. but i eventually moved my pim cat out of that tank

would be a ggod pair if the same size limas can grow fast but keep in mind a lima could out grow your tank they get about 18'' in aquariums but when in large aquariums they have no problem getting 24'' the largest lima captured from the wild was 30'' just so you know it won't out grow your 125 for a long time but could

they should be fine.
as for aggressieness.
ornates seem to be the most nippy.
but not too nippy.
it depends on the fish itself though.
