Hi everyone.. My 10" ornate recently developed fin rot. The tip of his tail fil started to become translucent and rot inwards. I quickly added Ocean Free Super External Bacteria & Fungus Away (Singapore brand, don't know if you guys have come across it? Orange coloured packaging) and the fin rot stopped. The translucent bits fell off and now his tail looks just looks snipped off at the end =P
However, today while doing water change I notices that he had these rather large red sores on his underside at the anal fins. I have been using this medicine for about 1 week already. The lfs guy just told me to continue using that medicine, which says "When to use: Rot fin, ragged fin, body sore..."
The problem is, I read the sticky on fish health and what chemicals to use for which particular symptoms, but this medicine does not list down exactly what chemicals is it made up of. All my nearby lfs stock only this kind of medicine and I don't know where I can get the proper chemicals myself. What should I do? I have the feeling that he may not make it. Please advise, thanks!! =(
