Inside a Bottle
3 ornates have small lumps near the tail..they only 3-4"..:nilly:
While.. one of them has very flakey skin near the tail and some red spots that looks as if it bleeding.... and is staring to get fungus... What to do ??? Salt and bump the temp ????

Pics would definitely help, but the salt/temp is always a good start.

I don't have pics at the moment.. They belong to headbanger_jib...and his net is down..

And i told him to add 2 capsules of tetracycline..

yup anyone with any answers
now would be the nice time to answer
i am at the factory and can't load pics here
my net conn is still down at home

Add anti biotics as soon as possible following the directions on the package isolate the the obvious sick one if possible for treatment in a 10 gallon tank -Anne

now the fungus has gone after the salt and the temp and 2 caps of tetracyclin

but the wound looks terrible and he has lost two finlets just before the tail along with the rays of the finlets, i think they fell off(because of the wound )
i have put a piece of bogwood there for them to hide and all, didn't have an extra tank as the QT is taken by one of my hybrids
have been trying to post pics but to no avail as the internet at home is as crappy as it can get(tried seven times yesterday evening), and at factory can't post pics
but the wound looks pretty bad
and the dividor is being used by the jewels as they have spawned again
i have left the hurt ornate with 3 other ornates and 2 albino sens, should i be expecting trouble, should i get a divider and separate the wounded fellow

at last i am putting pics
here is how he looks

there was fungus on the wound and now its gone but the wound looks nasty he is eating fine
doing water changes everyday and adding one capsule of tetracycline and have put salt 1 tbs/5g and the temp is at 29C

looks like he got in a nasty fight! even if the fungus is gone, keep on medicating him for 2 weeks. That would be safest
