Ornate in 100 gallon 5ft. tank

been wanting one other mate with my female Jag. Lfs has about a 9 in. Ornate. would it be good for life with a Jaguar Cichlid. I was a bit worried the bichir may try to attack my Jag but it is in a tank with a mid sized osacr with no marks on O. bare bottem with 2x Ac110s and a sponge filter. tank is 100 gallon but it is 5 foot long, and almost 2 ft wide, I think exact is 22 in.

thanks I have so much going on in my fish room, atm but ever since i got into fish, i wanted a big bichir, and just kept putting it off but seeing such a big beauty in person, I must indulge

How big is your Jag? Assuming your jag isn't small enough to be food, I think you'll be fine.

she is about 6 inches, long,

make sure they are big or can hide. I had some senegals in with jack dempseies until they started showing up missing their back feathers

jag will grow faster than the ornate so it should be fine

Throw some fake floating plants and maybe a pice of driftwood in the bottom and you'll be fine. Bichirs like to have cover.
