was at the LFS today and picked up a 3" ornate for 10$ without knowing a lot about them(i have three P sengals though)right now hes in a 20g with the 3 sengals, 2 TT eels and a BGK, whats there growth rate? how mutch should i feed?(he ate right out of the bag)and do they do OK in hard water i think my PH is pretty close to or at 8, and iam going to put him a 180 eventualy so dont worry

thats alot of fish for a 20g, id move em up fast 
. get that 180 set up and you should be ok. ornates average i think 18-20" but can get larger. my ornate is growing slower than my sengal, but thats only 1 experience, it could probably go the other way.

ornates have really cool colors. max size of 24" but usually averages 18" or so but can obviously get larger if kept for a really long time. awesome pick up =)
