Can someone recommend me what the big deal about delhezis is? it just seems more popular than ornates these days. what's the difference between them behaviorally? which one is generally more active?

I think Dels grow smaller and aren't as aggressive towards tank mates from what I've read. That and the markings. I like'em both but right now prefer the ornate since I don't have a del yet :D Not sure about which is more active but my ornate is quite active at night and she's slowly staring to come out during the day now.

Delhezis are generally more active than ornates. Ornates tend to be more nocturnal and would hide a lot during the day especially when they are small.

what i wan't to know is if you can keep the two to gather or will the ornate out grow it i know a 20'' bichir with a 12'' bichir don't sound to good but could it work

with such a big size difference you would be taking a lot of risk housing them together so it's probably best to separate them eventually. it could work but i don't like taking chances on prize specimens like those. the ornate will take a while to get to 20" though so you could probably house the two together for a few years before needing to separate them.

yeah i also heard the ornates are nocturnal but does anyone know if delhezis are too thanks
