Ornate polypterus growth rate?

Hello, like I mentioned in a previous post I just acquired a 3 inch juvenile ornate polypterus, I have plans to eventually add him to a 180 gallon with some other fish but for now he’s in a 30 gallon growout( I have other tanks ready for when he grows to appropriate size) just wondering how fast they grow if I keep up with water changes and proper feeding?

When I had Ornate bichir it took them around 3 years to get to the 17inch mark. Different growth rates with members who have kept a Ornate .

I guess I’ll have to see I’m hoping with some extra attention I get him to 8 inches by summer, only experience I ever had growing out polypterus was with an endlieri and it went from 3 inches to 10 inches in about 6 months
