Ornate Pricing..

This guy is about 12-14", pretty fat.. Would he warrant a $90 pricetag? I think my LFS is crazy. They should be GIVING me these fish.

PS. Not sure if it is an ornate, but I am assuming it is.. The LFS lady tried to tell me it is, but she is an idiot.

Yup it's an ornate. I think $90 is a little too high. I've seen ornates at that size for around $50.

Yes Polypterus ornatipinnis (nice one too).Heres my thoughts I have seen turn ins at a local store go for $50.00 for that size (not as nice either) and i have seen juviniles 4-5'' go for $40.00-60.00 dollars.So pricing can be all over if you like it buy it, going by my $10.00 per inch is fair pricing its not a bad price-Anne

It is just way too hard for my to purchase a fish from other regions that I like, because I import directly from South America

If anyone is interested in this fish, let me know.. I will ship it for you.

Thinking of starting a new program with the pet stores to move out XL or rare fish..

$90 bucks is too high for an ornate bicher..i'd pass on it. my lfs has the 3 inch babies for $11..and yes, they are ornates.

definitely an ornate, if your here in the philippines, the price is a bit steep, for that size the prize is about $50 or less

interesting price, igot mine for $30 each at about 5-6" so i paid $90 for three ornates, but that one looks nice and if u want it get it price doesn't matter.

Pricing obviously depends on the area.
I paid $60 cdn for this ornate

Yeah, price depends on where you are,

Here in Vancouver, i would JUMP on 12" ornate at that price
