I recently purchased 3 ornates from a LFS. There are 2 females (ones 14 inches long and the other is 16.5) and 1 male (13 in) I have them housed in a 125 gallon tank with a Rena XPS 3 and a UV sterilizer for filtration. Is the tank size large enough? So far I have been feeding them frozen shrimp, nightcrawlers and massivore pellets. Is that diet varied enough or should I throw some fish fillets in there as well? (no, not all at the same time) Also is there anything I can do to keep the massivore pellets from stinking up my tank?

I think that tank size is fine.
Massivore stinks, I only feed what they can eat immediately and that seems to cut down on the smell.
Good tank mates would be anything that stays in the upper levels and is not big enough to fit in the Ornates mouth obviously. I would say Aros would be perfect but your tank is to small. Bala sharks, silver dollars, fish like that would fit the bill.

Any other large bichir species would be great too. Just be careful what the other fishs size are. In worst case you can end up with 2 dead fish. One eaten and the other choked to death.

Cichlids like jack dempseys green terror severum fire mouth but they cant be too aggresive like flowerhorn or red divel or midas
Or dovii ... U can also put them with larger bichirs like endis or nile bichir or bichirs nearly the same size
