Ornate torn up fins

I just got this ornate and it got bashed by my other ornate now it's fins and tail are fairly badly ripped up. How should I go about treating it or should I just let them heal up on their own? it's pretty bad though..

Can you post picture of your ornate, so we can determine the severity of the torn fins.

I think melafix would be a good start

I dont have any melafix how about pimafix? or should I just go out tomorrow and get some melafix....

As far as I know, Pimafix is more of an antifungal remedy, whereas Melafix is for repairing damaged fins and open wounds, so I would definitely get hold of some Melafix.

Maintain good water quality and feeding, he should heal up just fine.

If he seems to develop a secondary infection treat accordingly.

That's what I would do anyway. None of my bichirs had issues recovering from fin damage.
