ornate vs sen, growthrate????

ok nearly a month and a half ago i got 4 ornates and 2 albino sens
2 of the ornates were smaller than the albinos
but now the smaller ornates have grown and are actually growing faster than the albinos is this normal or are the sens not growing at their normal growth rate
three weeks back the albinos and the 2 small ornates were in the same grow out tank
the albinos were 3"+ and the ornates were 2.5"-3"
now the albinos are nearing 5"
the ornates are 5"+
i am not complaining or anything i just wanted to know whether this happens

I have two senegals and one ornate. Months ago, the senegals were much larger than the ornate. Now, the ornate has surpassed their size.

The answer to your question is that ornates have a quicker growth rate than senegals.

Albino senegals' max growth is smaller than regular senegals. So your albinos are probably growing slower than regular ones would.

yeah thats normal. growth rate varies quite a bit between individuals, espeically for senegal (albino/normal). And then each may hit its growth spurt at a different time.

my ornate hasnt grown at all for 2 mths.
my senegals have grown to 9 inches havign them for 4 mths plus.
got them at 2 inches.

9 inches in 4 months'ish ?? what are you feeding them, water changes..etc. im jealous

actually,7 inches in 4 mths cause i got them at 2 inches.
i feed them fd shrimp,whitebait,occasional live fish,and sinking pellets.
waterchanges vary alot.
cause sometimes im too busy to do any wter changes but sometimes im bored so like 3 waterchanges in a week.
or less.
most of the time its 50 percent waterchanges.

Ornates grow faster probably because they have a much larger size.

One of my senegals is growing slow, the other is growing at the exact same rate as my silver arowana.

All they eat are hikari gold floating pellets.
