Hi, next Monday, I'm receiving five P ornatippinis, I'm still waiting for my endlis so I only keep one endli male, SL 13".

Is it ok to place them together (once they grow to similar lengths) in the same home tank? or is it better to keep "upper jaws" appart from "lower jaws"?

The home tank is a 72"L x 24"W x 24"H tank (still building it).

It'll be fine. I also have Endlis mixed with Ornates.

Ornate and Endli will be fine together. Ornate does seem to grow faster, but it doesn't really matter in this case. Upper jaw with lower jaw can work in this case. I wouldn't suggest moke and endli under the same roof though.

Thank you! Good thing ornates grow somewhat faster than endlis. I'm likely getting five juvies so I'll grow them apart until they grow to reasonably safe length to mixed with my endli (hopefully I'll have at least four more endlis by then).

Yup.In my experience, endlicher bichirs tend to grow faster compared to ornates. But mixing the two different bichir species is never a problem as long as they are of the same size to avoid too much aggression and avoid predation as well.:nilly:
