I was feeding my ornatums some sinking pellets and cichlid gold.. They have been eating since i got them, now they just stoped eating. i have a group of ten they just stoped eating for about 2 weeks now. anyone have any ideas why?

my ornatum did the same ting 3 months ago and all it eats is frozen foods now and its super boney but i cant get it to eat ., and people said it should have died back in august

There not to big some 1.5 biggest 2.75.. there not bony and really only are eating blood worms, wont eat a pellet. As for there feces I dont see any of it..

Stop feeding the blood worms. Force them to accept the pellets before you feed anything else. It might seem cruel, but fish can go weeks without eating. You're in control; Be the tough parent you need to be right now :)

Mine are bigger at about 5" but the male had stopped eating and was getting 'boney looking'. I have introduced rosy red feeders and red worms (smaller night crawlers) to fatten him up and he is now eating. I don't typically endorse this method but it was getting to the point where he was being outgrown by all the fish and was not looking healthy. With this fish I thought he had parasites but I now think he is just a VERY finicky eater. He also likes finely sliced frozen market shrimp. I make sure the worms, rosies and shrimp are very well cleaned before feeding them. I would stay clear of bloodworms, etc but that is just me. I only plan on fattening him up and then moving back to pellets and flakes.
