Ornatums

What size do ornatums start showing breeding behaviors? I have a group of 4 smallest around 3.5-4" biggest about 5.5-6" not sure how to tell gender either. Pics to come later

Females usually display a dark area in the dorsal, especially when spawning.
Here is what I believe to be a female I have, note the spot in mid dorsal.

Males also seem to have slightly steeper profile, and at the same age, larger.

Another way to sex is males have lots more spangles in their face and females have very little

The biggest one has the exact body shape of the male you said. Just not as many spangles yet. The sizes are pretty evenly split. 2 are 3.5-4" and the other more dominant ones are 4.5-5" and 5.5-6" respectively
