Hi
I have been resurching ORP " millivolt meters, for denitrator use. I have a question about , high alkaline water, and "mv readings.
Basically +200/400 is standard good, and -50/350mv is needed for denitrator to function.
High alkaline potable water can easily be -300mv.

My tank has 8.3 pH is 300+ kh and GH.
Current ORP is neg-61mv going in denitrator at 7ppm nitrate.
It is pos+ 002mv going out. At 0 ppm nitrate. At 6.6 pH

My number don't match any thing that I have read, except that high alkaline water will have a neg mv reading.

I want to use the Orp mv scale. To know when to carbon dose as I increase the flow.
I made a calibration chart based on nitrate ppm.
Basically as the number go down nitrates go up.

My Orp mv readings on denitrator. After 1cc of white table sugar. 24hrs process time.
7ppm inflow.
-10 mv 7ppm nitrate.
-5mv = 3ppm nitrate
0mv = 0ppm
+1mv - +30 mv=0 ppm nitrate.
