I have a 9 1/2inch oscar and I just added two 6icnh oscars. he dosent chase them much but he dose some times. When the little oscars get bigger will the bigger ones aggretion get worse or better???
Some oscars are very territorial and others are quite calmer, as with any fish it depends on the individuals personality. Usually oscars are calm with each other till they get large and then the territorial issues start. Try moving around any decors or rocks etc. to mix things up
ok ill try that next time i clean my tank thx. And i have recently tried adding a silver arowana and my big oscar just chased and nipped @ it but then i added a peacock bass and he didnt even bug it all he did was look at it and then went on swimming. dose any1 know y this might be?????
My big oscar has calmed down during the day. he just chases the other red tiger oscar sometimes but i think it is because my albino tirger oscar is a female and the 2 red tiger oscars are male. Will this help when breeding later???? like competion for a female or will it cause even more agresstion??? and i have noticed when i come in after liveing my lights off for a few hours after dark and turn on a hall light so i can see what he is doing w/o disturbing them and he just opens his mputh half way and chases the other fish. Is this normal???
