Oscar acting strange

Hi, lately my Oscar has been "twitching" or vibrating it's tail? Does Anyone know why they do this? He's not mad or anything just randomly does it, just curious if this is normal or means something

mine does the same thing. your oscar should be fine. im pretty sure its an aggression thing.

Could be showing off, I know many fish do this when wishing to mate with another

He does it mostly when my other Oscar is around him, he's about 7-8 inches and the other one is new and he's 3 inches, they both do it around each other but no aggression at all. They are inseparable!!

There you go. It's communication. Unless he does in like a maniac and starts twitching and flicking on the ground...

My 10" started doing this recently cause for whatever reason even though hes paired up with my other one hes trying to cheat on her with my female midas who going out of her mind trying to mate with him. they flare at each other she cleans the pot then he just sits there outside the pot twitching and wagging his tail. i know exactly what twitch your talking about.lol

They do it for dozens of reasons. Mine would do it if you stared at him too long: Typical O sensitivity.

just keep an eye on it, to make sure it's not flashing or other sign of injury/ailment...otherwise, it looks like it is normal behavior as cited above
