about two weeks ago i got rid off all my lake milai africans from my 55g aquarium and recently bought 2 silver dollar, 5 clown loaches, 1 baby bristlenose 1 veil tailed oscar and a medium sized texas cichlid. the texas has ripper the whoke oscars rear fin off:WHOA::irked:. i took the texas back to lfs and got another baby veil tailed oscar.
they are both only juvies and i would like to know if the baby oscar rear veil tail will grow back oh and they are both tigers, and their is also a small convict and 2 chocolate cichlids which are reasonably small one of the chocolates only have one eye from the texas but its all ok so far:headbang2:nilly:

An Oscar is NO match for a Texas. Oscars are pretty passive compared to the majority of Cichlids. The 2 Oscars alone are going to need a 100 g minimum tank (if they even get along as adults), not to mention the others. Guess we know what you'll ask Santa for this Christmas :D

depending on how much tail is gone it may grow back, but veil tails are hard to keep looking nice because the other fish are going to destroy the fins. Especially the convict. Convicts love to pick and pick even at a young age.

lol well they are only tiny atm and i am not going to get a bigger tank until they are around medium size because im only in yr9 lol. and i want to build as 12 foot long by 5 foot wide by 7foot high tank out of plywood glass or anything but that would be a killer tank for americans, and i have had experience with oscars before and yeah as i said theyre only juvies atm and once they get a little bit bigger im sellin my tank and buying a new one.
plsu if they get too big i can also take them into my lfs store and get them to look after them fvor a while, i worked theyre cleaniong tanks for a around about a yr:headbang2

oh haha you said yr9 and i thought u were saying you're only 9 years old. But then i remembered that you guys say Yr9 instead of how we say it which is 9th Grade.

P.S. Do you know how much a 12x5x7 would cost..... Mucho Dinero

lol no not really but it would be a hll of a fish tank to own lol, i just gotta mow about 200lawns and i might have enough for a plywood tank that big with the help of my dad aswell but. what would you stock in it if you had a tank that big

i bought some pima fix and i am starting to see little seethrough growth on the tail after two days of adding them pima fix and oomg 105 veiws and 6comments jeeze

if anyone in interested ( i doubt it) i will post pics up tomorrow after school of my oscar with his slight regrowth on his tail. oh i also got rid of the texas if i didnt already mention this
