i want to add geophagus withmy oscar and green terror
oscar is 4-5inches and green terror is 2 inches

tank is 160g 6ft long*
fx5 and xp4 filters

geophagus tapajos im thinking of adding a schoool with they be ok with my current fish??? thanks school of 8

My oscar was ok with Heckeli, but I think the green terror my stress out the generally peaceful geos once it grows more in size.

All I can say is the green terrors I've had were pretty mellow and would work with geos, including tapajos (except the wild GTs I've had, much more aggressive). Even saw a green terror with discus once with no problem. Of course, they can vary so it might not work 100% of the time, but I wouldn't be afraid to them together it if it was me.

Can't speak for the oscar. From what I've seen it depends a lot on the individual.

Try to get the geos a little bigger than the terror if you can. Then he will get used to growing up with them. And from what I have read they grow extremely slow so if they are smaller they won't catch him

I had 6 Orange Head Tapajos in with my male Green Terror in a 125. When they were all young everything was fine, as they got bigger the GT kept all of the Taps in one small corner of the tank and he claimed the rest for himself. I had to take the Geo's out and give them their own tank.

I went and bought the geophagus they seem to be fine but the only problem is when they go near the Oscars driftwood he chases them out so I should move the wood somewhere else? Thanks does anyone. Else have input? Thanks

Bump for more info, I also have a juvenile oscar and geo tapajos together. They will stay in my 90 until my 180 is online. I would also like to add a Juvie green terror and keep an eye on things. Btw this is my first Oscar, as I finally took the plunge. No pun intended.
