my friend is giving away a 4" kelberi bass and i really want it for my tank but i dont know if my Tiger Oscar will eat it (hes 7-8") its a 110 gallon tank but they will be in a bigger tank soon. so is it worth it?

Really depends on the temperament of the oscar. You could always make a temporary, cheap egg crate divider if you need to. I'd say that would be your safest bet, until it packs on a bit more size.

the oscar is slightly aggressive,he nips the fins of his other tank mates...

An oscar won't be able to corner it long enough to pick on it

Not true. How big is the Kel? If it's not at least 5" already I wouldn't risk it unless you egg crate divide it.

Sorry didn't see the size in the original post. I would divide the tank until the Kel puts on some size. Feed it shrimp and tilapia to fatten it up faster

Reeally I've kept 3 inch temensis and grew them out a little bit in a 100 gallon with a pair of oscars about that size they made those oscars look clumsy and sluggish and from my experience peacocks are far more aware of their surroundings than any other fish I've owned with speed and precision I would worry more about the oscar being dive bombed unless kelberi's are way different than temensis which I really doubt
