I'm new to hobby so please excuse my ignorance, will feeding my oscars live minnows make them more aggressive towards new and existing tank mates?

Not generally it could make them more aggro towards smaller tankmates however they shouldn't be housed with anything they would mistake for food anyway.

The other thing is unless you quarenteen the minnows for for about 4 weeks to make sure they are safe you shouldn't use them. Breeding and raising your own is another option. A good quality pellet should be the staple diet and then the feeders could be used as a weelky supplement/treat. Do not buy or catch feeders and throw them directly into the tank to be eaten.

Stop feeding him minnows. Reasons are many the first is you create a chance that your Oscar may catch a disease and really a diet of only minnows is not "healthy" for your Oscar. Second, he may not want to eat anything else, such as pellets or frozen food. So you may have to wean him off minnows. IMHO I suggest you stop feeding him minnows. Stick to pellets, bloodworms, and brine shrimp. Hope this helps.

I recently added a 6 inch Arowana and my 6 inch Oscar would not leave him alone. I feed minnows @ once a week and it sounds like I should stop. I had 2 separate the Oscar !

Yeah Oscars are tough when it comes to tank mates-Too aggressive for Aros or Clown Knifes but to delicate for Red Devils or Trimacs.
Try a catfish species like maybe Spotted Raphael or Pleco
