I just established an oscar and pleco into my 150g tank. I may be silly for asking this question, as I'm PRETTY sure it's just because they're in the new tank and are stressed, but they seem very odd. The oscar found a spot behind a rock in the corner, and has seldom moved from the spot since. The pleco seems okay, except he isn't finding the algae wafers! Anyone care to reassure me? :(

If they were in a smaller tank before, then I think they're just intimidated by their new tank. Stress can be another issue since they were just moved. Give them a couple days and they should be fine! You should think of adding some dither fishes so your oscar won't be lonely aha.

Okay good. About the pleco though? He looks thin (inward stomach it appears to be) and he's moving around the tank looking for food but the tank is newly established so there really isn't any algae. That's why I have these wafers, but he doesn't seem to notice them!

I never notice my pleco eating the wafers either (I put them in before lights out), however he got noticeably fatter after a couple weeks.

put the wafers after the lights are off
u can even put a cucumber over night or lettuce

They just have to settle down to there new surroundings.
