Can I keep one Oscar and one Tiger Datnoid in a 75G tank?

Is Datnoid shoaling fish? I heard they are very skittish.

No. You can keep 1 oscar in a 75 and that's it.
I don't know a great deal about Dats but i've seen a 22" one before and that won't be able to turn around in a 75 gallon.

Short answer is yes but should you is no. They both get above a foot so you have maybe 8 months before you need to start to upgrade your tank.

I had an NTT (one of the smaller growing dats) and an Oscar that was approx 8 months old in a 4'x2'x2' 120 gallon and they maxed out that tank in my opinion.Screenshot_2016-02-01-11-01-31.png

Keeping one Oscar in a 75G would be boring. Maybe I should consider other type of fish for my 75G if I want to make it a community tank.
