i have a 9 1/2in red tiger oscar and a 10" silver Aro. The oscar is in His 100g tank and i tryed adding a (at the time) 8" silver Aro but he just constenly attacked it following him back and forth across the tank nipping @ him so i took him out and put him into a 10g(when i get the money ill get him a 60g). It has been a month since then and my Aro has grown 2in. I was wondering if i could put him in the 100g with out him being hurt??? I am just worried if my oscar dose attack him i dont wana stress him out and have him die on me.

U might want some other opinions but... maybe if u put it in after a water change and if u rearrange the tank decorations a little. That can make the oscar think its in a new territory so it might accept the aro. Might work, might not so i wonder what othe ppl think too.

Its a gamble but you should try . The oscar may have been used to being the alpha in the tank so you might have a hard time. I would try a much bigger aro if that doesnt work.

Ive already had to get rid of my tiger o cuz of my aro, and now im about to get rid of my long fin albino. both which were smaller than my aro! my aro seems to be just to nice! I would go for a big size difference between the aro and oscar when adding an oscar to the tank. doubt that it will work but i hope it does, let us know!!!

I introduced a 14 inch aro to a 125 gallon with a 9 inch oscar and a 6-inch oscar. No one bothers anyone, but you can see that the larger oscar (the previous alpha) is pretty nervous around him. The aro just leaves him alone. The old standard is to move around your rocks and stuff and give it a shot. Also, introduce him at night and turn off the lights.

u could try rearanging the tank it usually helps it did for me when i put my jaded goby in with my oscar
