Hello,

I got these oscars from Rapps as juveniles and grew them out. I started with 6 and had 4 survive, and luckily, got a pair. They have spawned on a large vertical rock and have a small batch of wigglers. I have removed the other fish from the tank for their safety, as the pair were getting very aggressive.

You can see the eggs on the lower portion of the rock. The eggs were quite different, white from the very start, they looked bad and I expected them to fungus. Luckily, they fooled me.

Crappy pictures, but the pair is not going to let me clean the tank, and I don't really want to disturb them anyway.

AWESOME! I got some from Rapps too but lost all mine...I ahd them in the same tank with some slightly larger Peru Oscars I got from him too and the Perus killd the Bahias.

Cool!! That's one cichlid I could never get to breed. Are these a more 'Crassipinas' looking oscar? I have a Venezualan O, these newer strains definitely look much better than the store varieties.

I agree, I had a wild caught from Venezula, she jumped at 9-10", after that I lost interest in all the others and sold them.

very nice!!!!!!!

New pics of the fry and parents. Fry are quite large and could easily take BBS and finely crushed flake food after going free swimming.
