oscar chcilid spitting out pellets

My 4 inch oscar spits out his pellets about 60 perceent of the time and part of the time he does not even eat. he is with a 5 inch common pleco. but they get along fine. The tank is clean. he dosen't have hole in the head. hopefully he dosent get hole in the head like my oscar who died.I got him like a month a go. he is acting normal to. will it stop or if it does not is it a problem. or will it stop in a couple of days.

He could be used to a certain food other than pellets, I would just give him time and keep trying to feed him the pellets until he learns to accept them and doesn't spit them out so much..

Use a smaller pellet and don't feed him for 3 days then give him a few pellets. If he still doesn't eat he may have a parasitic promblem. I would start him on a medicated food then.

My Oscars were stubborn,didnt eat for 3 days after i bought him.Now he eats pellets fine

DO NOT medicate dont feed for 5 days then try him on the same food watch him feed if he dosent eat the 3 pellets in 5 mins remove food from tank and try again the next, day he is a inteligent fish and will soon learn

he ate chiclid flakes. are the chiclid gold mini pellets to big for a 4 inch oscar. mabey he was fed chiclid flakes in the shop. I just did a 25 percent water change to.

I use medium pellets for my 4.5 in firemouth he eats them just fine

my Oscars had to learn to eat arowana sticks the refused them for about 7 days now they cant wait to get them in their bellies
