Oscar dark patches

Hi All,
I got myself a lutino lemon Oscar yesterday and he looks somewhat better in shop.
He lost most of his color and this black marks/discolouration become really visible.
is that purely stress related? Or maybe it is bad quality?
should I try to return him or give him a chance?

I would keep him, don't get rid of him yet. It is probably stress. Is he eating well? Lethargic? Is anything else apparently wrong looking/acting with him?

He is totally fine, eating and active. He is currently in a tank with few baby barbs and 1 molly and already bossing the tank.

LOL a fish like that is a keeper. Lets you know he's just fine.

Be a good idea to keep the lights off for a couple of days. Once your Oscar acclimates to it's new environment his vibrant colors will likely return.
