hello... first post so take it easy lol

i got a albino oscar grim. with a weird diet and picky tastes... he will not eat any normal food. all he like is algae disks. like thats all.. and the ocasional krill. ive tried everything. flakes pellets, liver, beef heart, shrimp, crisps, blood worms, tubflex, frozen, live, everything. i know oscars can be moody but like since i got him like half a year ago this steady diet has been kept

he shares the 90 gallon tank with 2 common plecs, 2 tinfoils and a couple feeders (hat were quarintined prior to) right now. water is tested monthly all levels are fine, no fights or bullying cept for the odd battle over algae chips since grim eats all usually bout 6 i throw in before he will let them him the bottom

this is grim about 7 " head to tail

thank you

That's pretty unusual for an oscar. I will say that it looks very healthy. Does it eat the feeders? Also, have you tried veggies? If it likes the vegetarian foods, you might try frozen peas, pieces of cucumbers, zuchini, small grapes, or pieces of banana. Oscars are omnivores, and they do appreciate some fruits or veggies in the diet. I have also heard they like peanuts. Try different things to give it a more varied diet, but it looks very healthy so far.

What plant material do oscars eat in the wild? I've had all sorts of plants in with oscars at various times and I've never seen them eat any (though they up-root/re-arrange them)
