Oscar dorsal fin damage

My oscar has damage to the hard spines in his dorsal fin. A couple of the spine tops kind of got sheered off from an attck and I was wondering if they will grow back to their normal length like before.

My oscar is still is a baby at 3 inches so does this increase my chances of regrowth ?

It will probably grow back. My firemouth lost an entire section in its dorsal fin once and it grew back, but the spines seemed to have grown out of proportion to the other ones.
