Are you sure they are male and female? I had two females spawn and the eggs weren't fertilized, so they sat there and got kind of moldy and a pleco ate them. I know it sounds silly to ask, but it happens a lot, and it could be the reason that they sit there until they get eaten.

hmmm not perfectly sure whethr thy rmale or female but this is the scene.. i had 3 baby oscars n thy grew up tohgether aftr smtime two of them were spearated so i thought they r paired.. so i removd the other one.. *sigh* no baby oscarts for me then

i HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN TO ME, THE TWO FEMALES WOULD PROTECT THE EGGS AS IF THEY WERE ALIVE AND THEN AFTER A FEW DAYS THE SLATE THEY LAID ON WOULD BE CLEANED OFF... ITS KINDA CRAZY... OSCARS ARE REALLY HARD TO SEX

Honestly, it's probably better! Pet stores usually won't take the baby oscars, because they already have a million, and a bunch that are half-grown that have been brought back. They're so common that you can't get much for them. So unless you want a house full of Oscars, it's most likely best that they don't make babies!

LOL, WELL THEY WOULD GIVE YOU LIKE A BUCK OR TWO A PIECE FOR THEM IF YOU HAVE TWENTY THATS FORTY BUCKS TO PICK UP SOME NEW STUFF... HECK YA LOL
