Oscars will beg for food every time you go near the aquarium
Size of an adult O‘s stomach, for reference.
With large adult cichlids, I tend to mix it up. Feed for a few days, miss a few days, feed every other day, never feed on water change day, etc

i just want to know if my schedule is okOne time a day fast Saturday water change Sunday. I usually feed mine Mon and Tue fast Wed feed Thu and Fri fast Sat water change Sun.
This isn’t a perfect science, as no two fish are always going to be exactly the same as far as nutrient requirements are concerned. Post a pic of your fish and we can probably determine if it is being underfed or overfed. Also, post up what you are feeding. Some diets are nutrient dense, others are more like feeding popcorn. Lots of bulk, not much in the way of nutrition. No one here owns a crystal ball - more info required.
